Construction waste is the toughest category to price right because the mix changes every day of a build.
Monday is all plasterboard and packaging. Wednesday it's tile, brick and concrete. Friday it's cut-offs, metal, and whatever the sparky left behind.
We price for that mix, sort it at our yard, and keep the swap-outs running on your build schedule — not ours.
The five construction waste categories
On most builds, waste splits into five rough buckets. Each has a different disposal path and a different cost.
›1. Mixed demolition rubble
Brick, mortar, tile, concrete, render. The heaviest category and the one that chews through your weight allowance fastest. Pure rubble is cheaper if booked as a clean-fill bin.
›2. Construction timber and sheeting
Pine cut-offs, ply, MDF, particleboard, plasterboard. Almost 100% of this gets chipped or recycled at our yard.
›3. Metal and fittings
Old pipes, steel offcuts, re-bar, window frames, nails. We pull this at the sorting yard and it goes to scrap metal recycling.
›4. Packaging and general site rubbish
Cardboard from appliance deliveries, plastic wrap, lunch containers, coffee cups. Low weight, high volume.
›5. Hazardous — separate bin always
Asbestos, solvents, batteries, treated timber offcuts. Never in the main bin — we run a separate stream.
You don't need to source-separate
Some operators make tradies pay more unless you sort waste on site into five piles. We sort at our yard instead. You load one bin, we sort it for you, you still get 80% diversion. That's the whole point.

Hit asbestos mid-demo?
Stop everything. Don't break it up. Call us and we'll bring a sealed asbestos bin and co-ordinate with a licenced removalist. The fine for putting asbestos in a general bin starts at $5,000 — not worth the shortcut.
