Residential Skip Bin Hire in Perth

A home clean-out or a weekend reno always produces more rubbish than you expect. A trailer doesn't cut it, the kerbside bin won't take reno waste, and the tip is a full day gone.

A residential skip bin on your driveway is the sane option. Load it when you can, fill it in stages over a week, and we handle the rest.

We run six sizes from a 2m³ mini to a 12m³ big-job bin — enough for anything from a garage tidy to a full house extension.

Which size bin suits your job

Bin size is the number one decision and most people get it wrong by ordering too small. A 2m³ mini skip holds about eight wheelie bins' worth of waste, which sounds like a lot until you're half-way through a garage clean-out.

Our rule of thumb: whatever size you think you need, go up one. It's almost always cheaper than ordering a second bin later in the week.

When to size up

Green waste looks smaller than it is until you start compacting. A garden clear of a standard quarter-acre block usually needs a 4m³, not the 2m³ most people order first.

Renovation rubble is the opposite — dense and heavy. A 3m³ bin full of tile and brick can hit weight limits before you've filled the top. Ask us when you book and we'll sort the right size.

Tip

Ordering for a kitchen strip?

A 4m³ handles the cabinetry, splashback and appliances without touching sides. If you're also pulling up tile flooring, step up to a 6m³ — the tile alone will eat 2m³ before you know it.

What you can put in a residential skip bin

Most household rubbish is fine. General waste, old furniture, mattresses, timber, metal, plasterboard, tile and brick can all go in.

  • General household waste and old furniture
  • Renovation debris — tiles, timber, plasterboard, brick
  • Garden waste — clippings, branches, soil, turf
  • Cardboard, packaging, paper
  • Metal — old BBQs, bike frames, shed shelving
  • Carpet and underlay (single bin only, no mixing with green)

What we can't take in a standard bin

Some items need special handling and we'll either refuse them on collection or charge extra at the tip. It's cheaper to know up front.

  • Asbestos — book a dedicated asbestos bin instead
  • Car tyres — take to a tyre shop for recycling
  • Liquid paint, oils, fuels, chemicals
  • Fridges, freezers and air-con units containing refrigerant gas
  • Batteries — car, lithium, or household
  • Gas bottles of any size
Heads up

Found asbestos mid-reno?

Stop work, don't break it up, and call us. We run a separate asbestos skip bin service with sealed bags and WorkSafe WA-compliant disposal. Mixing asbestos into a general bin carries serious fines for the hirer, not just the operator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Just tell us where to place it when you book and leave the spot clear. We send a text or call 30 minutes before arrival. Most of our residential drops happen while the customer is at work.
Call us before day seven and we'll swap the bin for a larger one. You only pay the price difference, not a full second hire. It's cheaper than ordering a separate bin.
Each size has a fair weight allowance built into the price. For standard mixed household waste you'll never hit it. Only dense loads like pure tile, brick or soil can exceed it, and in those cases we flag it at booking.
Yes — most strata buildings will let us drop a 2m³ or 3m³ in a guest park for 24-48 hours. Check with your strata manager first. We can also arrange a dawn drop and sunset pick-up for high-traffic buildings.
When it's level with the top rail, that's full. We can't take bins with waste sticking above the rim — the WA road rules don't allow it and our tarps won't seal. If it's over, pull a few items out and we'll still take it.
